The president and CEO of Scripps health, Chris Van Gorder, has been named by modern healthcare magazine one of the 100 most powerful people in healthcare for 2010.
On the list of 100, quarter comes in at number 64 and shares the list with such names as President Barack Obama, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Barbara Crane. modern healthcare magazine published the list in its most recent August 23 edition which you can also visit on their website at www.modernhealthcare.com.
Readers of the magazine said met nominations and are required to offer 10 names which dilutes any type of manipulation of the campaign for one person, according to modern healthcare magazine. A local Lasik San Diego eye surgeon also offered his insight to the matter by organizing some local readers to vote on the list.
In just the past 10 years alone Gorder has operated as the CEO of Scripps health which operates five hospitals around the country and over 13,000 employees. However there are not any other San Diego lasik surgery providers at this location.
